As a person not originally from this city, I take a great appreciation for the hospitality and the genuine care that I’ve received from this community. My experience is that people here are welcoming, the community is growing, and opportunities are blossoming. However, there is one area of concern that has now escalated to a subject of inhumanity. Telfair State Prison is the said subject. As an advocate for all human beings, a licensed nurse, and a mandated reporter I feel the conditions of this prison have not been managed correctly. Conditions are inhuman and there seems to be no desire to rectify these concerns. The quality of life is little to none and this is unacceptable. I look forward to being contacted to elaborate on this matter and respectfully make a change.
