Telfair County business insiders gathered for lunch last week to celebrate the area's administrative professionals. The event was Telfair's Annual Administrative Professionals Luncheon hosted by the Telfair County Chamber of Commerce. The popular luncheon was held at the McRae United Methodist Church Social Hall this year where the crowd enjoyed the company of peers, great food, and several prizes which were awarded during the event .The biggest prize of the day, however, went to Anne R. Bess when she was named the 2018 Administrative Professional of the Year.
"The Chamber was very pleased with the attendance of the 2018 Administrative Professional Luncheon held April 25 at the McRae United Methodist Church Social Hall," says Telfair Chamber President Paula Anderson. "It was definitely a success. It is a pleasure to e able to provide this luncheon each year to honor Telfair County's administrative professionals."
"It was with great honor that this year's award was presented to Anne Bess during the luncheon. Ms. Bess is employed by the McRae-Helena Police Department as the the Administrative Professional to the Chief of Police, Terminal Agency Coordinator, and Clerk of the Municipal Court."
"She (Bess) is always a happy cheerful person who has a smile on her face that can make anyone's day better no matter how good or bad things are going," said MHPD Chief Glenn Giles. "She is a dedicated employee."
